Composer’s liner notes:

'The young dancer entered stage left... her footfalls as soft as wind on snow laden branches. She moved as the fragile strands of love herself, both graceful and delicate, like none before her. And my heart wept'

In that choreographer’s description … that spirit… these 12 preludes were composed. My hope was to capture the graceful and the delicate… two feelings so often set aside in these tumultuous times. As such...these pieces were meant to reach inside… to give one space to lay down the incessant noise and pace of daily life… and drift in the dance of our nature… to move with the tides… to turn with the sun… and to curve under the fire of the winter moon. Of shadows and light… of hopes and despairs… some resolved and some unanswered… all are meant to inform the dancers that here… and now… is all we have. It’s in that spirit that I offer up this completed work to anyone here who wishes to listen…and be moved… remembering full well… that we are all in this dance together.
